INDUSTRIAL ICE BANKS

We manufacture and sell a host of different industrial ice banks, large and small.  We have supplied from 5 kW up to 1 MW ice banks which are completely locally designed and assembled by ourselves.

 

The benefit of using an ice bank in comparison to a run of the mill water chiller is that you can chill the water down close to 0°C without adding Glycol which is beneficial when water must come in contact with your product. 

 

Additionally ice banks have the added benefit of being able to produce ice during off peak production times and melt off the ice during peak production at a rate higher than your base cooling system can provide.  This reduces peak energy consumption and gives you benefit of having massive cooling for short periods of time without needing to purchase the water chiller to handle that cooling demand all day. 

 

Ice banks are typically used in dairies during pasteurization and for HVAC applications where it pays to make ice during the night and melt it of during the day.
